What Vazhi stores
- Nothing, if you just browse. You can use courses, colleges, exams, scholarships, predictors, and the Know Yourself test without signing in.
- If you create an account: your name, email address, and the colleges you save. This is stored with Google Firebase, the service that powers our sign-in.
- If you send a message through a contact form: the message and the details you type into it, so we can read and respond.
- Know Yourself test results: your answers and career report are saved only on your own device (in your browser's local storage). They are not uploaded to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
What Vazhi does not do
- No advertisements, ever
- No analytics or tracking cookies
- No selling or sharing of your information with anyone
- No college or company pays for placement on this site
Services we rely on
Like most websites, Vazhi is built on a few standard services. Each receives only what is technically necessary to work:
- Google Firebase — sign-in and saved-college storage (their privacy notes)
- Google Fonts — the typefaces on this site load from Google's servers
- GitHub Pages — hosts the website itself
Deleting your data
Email kalvivazhi@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and ask for your account to be deleted. We will remove your account and saved data within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Know Yourself results never reach us — to remove those, clear your browser's site data for kalvivazhi.in.
If you are under 18
Most Vazhi users are school students, and the site is designed to be safe for them: no ads, no tracking, and no data collection beyond what is listed above. We still recommend exploring Vazhi together with a parent or teacher — the decisions this site helps with are worth discussing at home.
